Gloria Jeans is the creator of fashion denim brands. It is successfully conquering the clothing market sectors – casual fashion and city lifestyle. The company originates back to the late 80s.

  • According to research results, conducted by the “Symbol-Marketing” agency (fall 2005), Gloria Jeans is the most recognizable denim wear brand on the Russian Market. 40% of the surveyed Russians showed unaided awareness of the Gloria Jeans brand. Gee Jay is in the fourth place for recognizability –27,3 % of the respondents know it. Both brands, Gloria Jeans and Gee Jay, take up the first places of the Russian apparel market. About 52 % of Russian children and teen-agers prefer clothing of these brands, 32% of young adults, and 11% of adults. More than 74% of the target audience trust the brands.
  • Gloria Jeans&GeeJay — brands number one on the Russian apparel market (according to the SporstwearInternational magazine issue #198, May-June 2005).
  • According to the research, conducted by the Step by Step marketing agency (March 2005), “Gloria Jeans” takes up 32% of the Russian children’s wear market. By 2007 the company intends to reach a 50% mark on the Russian children’s and teen-agers’ apparel market.
  • In 2002, the “Gloria Jeans” turnover amounted to more than $70 million, in 2003 — $95 million, in 2004 — $127 million, and in 2005 — about $170 million. Thus and so, the existing development tempo of the company allows the specialists to predict the reach of the $1 billion mark within the next 10 years.
  • “Gloria Jeans” is actively developing its brand retail chain. Nowadays Gloria Jeans has over 200 company-owned stores, 40 own stores and over 180 partner stores among them. Next few years will see the increase in the number of company-owned stores up to 600.
  • Retail stores’ sales turnovers have increased by 100%. Profit from years 2004 and 2005 amounted to $6 and $12,6 million respectively.
  • The company has prepared and is bringing to life a unique partnership retail program, where it provides organizational, informational, merchandising, and consulting support to its partners in different cities of Russia.
  • The pay-off period of the “Gloria Jeans” partner retail stores is about 4-16 months. Practice shows that opening “Gloria Jeans” stores one kilometer apart from each other is still profitable.
  • More than 12 thousand people work in the production part of the company, and about the same number of workers takes care of the selling of the Gloria Jeans and Gee Jay merchandise.
  • The production base of the “Gloria Jeans” Corporation includes 12 factories in Russia (in the towns of Novoshakhtinsk, Shakhty, Millerovo, Zverevo, Ust’-Donetsk, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Prohladny) and “Style” company (Ukraine).
  • In March of 2005, the company divided into two parts – manufacturing and sales.
  • The “Gloria Jeans” modern production capacities allow it to output more than 25 million quality pieces a year. The ready product indexes of 2005 were higher than that of 2004 by 10% (21 021 465 pieces vs 19 824 833). Now“Gloria Jeans” is developing a modular type of production.
  • In 2005, “Gloria Jeans” investments for technological re-equipment amounted to $8,7 mln.
